Privacy statement

What this website records about you, why, how long it is kept and who else is involved. In effect from 16 September 2026.

Who we are

This website, www.dessarsystems.com, is run by DESSAR Systems India Private Limited (CIN U42909PN2023PTC218581), Office No. 110, Plot No. C-19, D-1 Block, MIDC Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune 411019, India. We decide what personal information this site collects and how it is used.

This statement covers the public website only. The customer login at erp.dessarsystems.com is a separate system covered by the terms agreed with its users.

Four kinds of use

This site uses information in four separate ways. You can use the site without agreeing to any of the optional ones:

When you visit

Like almost every web server, ours keeps a record of each request it answers. Each record holds:

  • your IP address;
  • the date and time;
  • the page or file requested;
  • the page that linked you here;
  • the browser and device type your browser reports.

We use these records to keep the site running and secure, to count visits, and to see which pages are read, how visitors reached the site, and what kind of device and browser they used.

We also match addresses against databases kept on our own server, so they are not sent to anyone else. This shows us which country a visit came from. Where a visit came through an organisation's own network, such as a company that runs its own internet connection, it also shows us that organisation's name. Visits through ordinary internet, mobile and cloud providers are not linked to any company. These results appear only in our internal reports.

These records are deleted automatically after 90 days at most. What we work out from them is described under Our own visit measurement.

The visitor count in the page footer is worked out from these records. Only daily totals are kept for it, never addresses.

This recording does not use cookies. We never use it to find out who you are or to show you advertising.

Our own visit measurement

Our pages include a small script that reports to our own server, and nowhere else:

  • the title of the page you opened;
  • which parts of the home page were on your screen, and for how long;
  • how long the page was in view, and a short signal once a minute while it stays in view, so we can see how many people are on the site right now;
  • clicks on our telephone, email, WhatsApp and download links, and on buttons that lead to an enquiry;
  • whether you started filling in the enquiry form;
  • whether one of our on-page suggestions or What's New notices was shown or used.

This script sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the script does not report.

From these reports and the server records, we work out:

  • visits and returning visits;
  • whether a visit came from a person or from an automated program, such as a search engine, an AI crawler, a monitoring service or a tool probing for weaknesses;
  • how visitors arrived;
  • which of our technology areas the pages read relate to;
  • a simple engagement score, and a broad label for the visit: general interest, product interest, solution interest, high engagement, or enquiry;
  • the path a visit took through the site, for example from a search engine to a solution page to the enquiry form.

These labels describe how pages were used. We do not use them to work out who you are, and we never send marketing emails because someone viewed a page.

These are statistical estimates about visits, not judgements about you.

The database that holds these results never stores your IP address. In its place it keeps codes made from the address with a secret key, which cannot be turned back into the address. One code changes every day and is used for security. The other changes every month and lets us recognise a return visit within that month.

The country and the network owner are looked up on our own server and kept with the visit. Both are approximate. If you send us an enquiry or a consultation request, we link it to your visits from the same month, so we can see which pages were useful to you. Otherwise visits are not connected to any name.

Requests that probe the site for weaknesses are kept as security records. Each record holds the daily code, the address requested and the browser string, and lets us protect the site.

Detailed visit and security records are kept for 12 months. After that, only daily totals are kept, for up to four years. The results appear only in a password-protected internal report.

Analytics, only if you allow it

When you first visit, the home page asks whether we may measure your visit with Google Analytics. Nothing is sent to Google Analytics, and no analytics cookies are set, unless you choose Allow analytics.

If you allow it, Google Analytics records:

  • which pages you view;
  • how you reached the site;
  • your approximate location;
  • your device type;
  • whether you used the enquiry form.

We see this only as totals and trends. Google handles the data under its own privacy policy.

Your answer is saved in your own browser so we do not ask on every visit. You can change it at any time with Analytics choice at the foot of the home page.

Content from other providers

To show some parts of the site, your browser fetches files directly from two providers, which receive your IP address in the process:

  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces.
  • Cloudflare's public file network (cdnjs) supplies a graphics component for the interactive 3D concept models.

Neither receives anything you type on this site.

When you send an enquiry

When you press Send the enquiry, the form sends your details to our server, so no enquiry is lost. It also opens your own email program with the same details filled in, so you can attach drawings or images. Nothing in that email leaves your device until you press send there.

We receive:

  • your name, company and email address, and your phone number and industry if you give them;
  • the topic you chose and your requirement;
  • the page you sent it from, and the monthly visit code described above;
  • if you also send the email, anything you add to it, such as drawings or sample images.

We email you an acknowledgement with your reference number. A copy goes to our enquiry mailbox, and the enquiry is recorded in our own business system so the right person can reply. We may assign it to a named member of our sales or engineering team, who is then told about it by email.

Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to anything. The separate box for DESSAR updates is optional and never ticked for you; see Update emails.

We use this to reply, to judge whether and how your inspection task can be solved, to prepare a feasibility report or quotation, and to follow up on that enquiry.

Drawings, sample images and production details are treated as confidential. They are used only to evaluate your application. If a technology partner is needed to assess it, we share them only with your agreement.

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as the enquiry or any resulting business relationship needs it, and for longer where Indian company, tax or contract law requires records to be kept.

Dessa, the AI Vision Advisor

Dessa is an AI assistant, not a person. Her replies are written by an AI model and can be wrong. Our engineers confirm any specification before it matters.

What you type to Dessa is sent to our server and, from there, to Anthropic, the AI provider whose model writes Dessa's replies. Anthropic handles it as our service provider, under its own commercial terms and privacy policy.

The conversation itself stays in your browser tab and is cleared when you close the tab or press New chat. For each conversation, our server keeps only:

  • that it took place;
  • the number of messages;
  • the technology areas discussed;
  • the page it started on;
  • the monthly visit code.

If you use Request Engineering Consultation, we receive the details you enter (name, company, country, email and, if you give it, a phone or WhatsApp number) and a short summary of your requirement. If you leave Share this conversation ticked, the conversation text is kept with your request, so our engineers need not ask you again. These requests are handled and kept like any other enquiry.

Please do not type passwords, payment or identity details, or confidential drawings into the chat. Drawings are best sent by email once your request has a reference.

When you ask for the company profile

You can ask for the DESSAR company profile, and information on a solution area, through Dessa or the link near the enquiry form. The form has two separate boxes:

  • Send me the requested DESSAR information. You must tick this for us to send anything.
  • I would like to receive DESSAR product, solution and company updates. This is optional and is never ticked for you.

We receive your email address, and your name, company and industry if you give them, with the solution area you chose. We email you the documents you asked for, as attachments or as download links that stop working after 30 days. We record when a link is used.

The request is recorded as an enquiry in our business system so our team can follow up on it, as described under When you send an enquiry. We keep a record of the box you ticked, with the date and the exact wording.

Update emails

We send DESSAR update emails only to people who ask for them. Examples are new solutions, applications, case studies, events and company news. Asking works like this:

  • You tick the updates box on a form, or use the subscribe page.
  • We send one email asking you to confirm. Nothing else is sent until you do. If you do not confirm, we do not write to you again about it.
  • Visiting pages, chatting with Dessa or sending an enquiry never subscribes you on its own.

For each subscriber we keep:

  • the email address, and the name, company, country and industry if you gave them;
  • the topics you chose;
  • when and where you subscribed and confirmed, with the wording you agreed to.

Our update emails include a tiny image and links that pass through our own server. This tells us whether an email was opened and which links were used, so we can improve what we send. The results are shown to us as totals per email.

Leaving is easy. Every update email has an Unsubscribe link, which works immediately, and a Manage preferences link where you can change topics. Many email programs also offer a one-click unsubscribe button, which we honour.

When you unsubscribe, we keep a coded form of your address on a “do not email” list. That is the only way to make sure you are never added again by mistake. You can subscribe again later, but only by asking and confirming yourself.

Subscriber details are kept while you are subscribed. After you leave, we keep only the do-not-email entry and the record of your choices, as proof of what you agreed to and when.

We may also show short “What's New at DESSAR” notices on the website. These are the same for every visitor and use no personal information.

What the site remembers in your browser

Some things are kept in your own browser's storage, not in a cookie, and are never sent to us on their own:

  • your Dessa conversation, until you close the tab or press New chat;
  • which suggestions and notices you have already seen, so they are not shown again during the same visit (or at all, for some notices);
  • your Google Analytics choice, if you made one.

If you send us an enquiry, a consultation request or a company-profile request from this browser, it also remembers the solution area and page, for up to 180 days. It does not remember your name or email address. On a later visit it can show “Welcome back. Continue exploring …” with a link to that page. Choose Don't show this again on that note, or clear your browser's site data, to remove it.

Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for other companies' marketing. Information is handled only:

  • by our own staff who need it;
  • by the cloud hosting provider that runs our server and the email provider that carries our mail, each acting for us;
  • by Anthropic, for the messages you type to Dessa, acting for us;
  • by the providers named above, to the extent described;
  • by authorities, where Indian law requires us to disclose it.

Visitors outside India

We are an Indian company, and your information is handled from India. Some of our service providers may process it in other countries. This includes Anthropic, which may process Dessa conversations in the United States.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or a place with similar rules, we rely on:

  • our legitimate interest in running a secure website and understanding which organisations take an interest in our work, for server records and our own visit measurement;
  • your request, and steps before any contract, for handling your enquiry, your conversation with Dessa and any consultation request;
  • your consent, for analytics.

Keeping it safe

The site is served only over encrypted connections. Server records, the visit measurement database and enquiries received through the site are readable only by the administrators who run the server. They are removed on a fixed schedule, and the internal report needs a password. Enquiry emails are kept in business mailboxes with restricted access.

If a breach ever put your information at risk, we would tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us:

  • what information we hold about you;
  • to correct it, or to delete what we no longer need;
  • to withdraw a consent you gave;
  • to name someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

We will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm who you are before acting.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, outside India, to your local data protection authority.

Children and changes

This is a business website for industrial buyers and is not meant for children. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.

If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
