CHALLENGE

The helmet is on the hook, and the cell was entered while the robot was moving.

The safety devices are in place and the near-misses still happen: a helmet left off for a short job, a guard stepped over to clear a jam, a person inside the fence while the cycle runs. Nobody can watch every cell every minute, and the record after an incident is what somebody remembers.

How it shows up on the line

PPE compliance driftsHelmets, vests, gloves and glasses are worn when the supervisor is present and not always otherwise.
Guards defeatedA light curtain muted for a jam is still muted ten minutes later.
No recordAfter a near-miss the only account is verbal, and the pattern that led to it is invisible.
Audits by walk-roundCompliance is sampled by a person walking the floor, once a day at best.

Why it is still there

The usual fixes have usually been tried.

Interlocks only see the gateA safety device acts on its own input; it does not see a person who came in another way.
CCTV watched after the factRecorded video is reviewed when something has already gone wrong.
SignageA sign changes behaviour for a week.

How DESSAR removes it

Cameras on the cellsCamera views over the cells and zones that matter, using the cameras already there where they fit.
Watch for the conditionsPerson in zone, PPE missing, guard state, approach while running: each detected as it happens.
Act and recordAn alert to the supervisor, a signal to the cell logic where that is wanted, and a logged event with its image.
Report by cell and shiftCompliance and events by area and shift, so the pattern is seen before the incident.

The system that removes it

Safety PPE Inspector

Checks that helmets, vests, gloves and glasses are worn where they have to be, and keeps the record.

Safety Vision

Watches a work cell for unsafe states and approach conditions, tied into the cell's own safety logic.

For the cell itself: the supervision layer that watches for unsafe states and approach conditions.

Said plainly

Safety Vision is a supervision layer that works alongside the safety devices already in place. It is not a certified safety device and does not replace guards, light curtains or interlocks.

What we need from you to start

A plan of the cells and zones, the PPE rules per area, and whether an alert, a record or a cell signal is wanted. We come back with what is detectable, at what rate, and what it takes. Sensor selection, capability figures and programme detail are issued against your own application.
